  • In the village you will find some shops, including bakery .
  • Two kms from the cottage about, has the Ferme des Beaux Bois,vegetables, many regional specialties, creamery etc (it's worth the detour).
  • A very good fishmonger on the road to Cancale well after the village 2/3 kms - christell fishmonger.
  • Dol de Bretagne,pretty little town has all the shops and a beautiful market on Saturday morning.
  • The other beautiful markets: Dinard on Saturday and Thursday morning, Saint Lunaire and Cancale on Sunday morning.

Our small selection


  • The unmissable Mont Saint Michel,preferably early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the crowds (in season, guided hikes on reservation). From the cottage you can get there by bike by the greenway.
  • Cancale: its oysters to taste on the port (restaurant and shops, market on Sunday morning), Roellinger spices in the upper town.
  • Make the cancale road - the tip of Grouin and reach Saint Malo by the coast (make stops for beaches and small bays). Restaurant Le Benetin , if you want to treat yourself.
  • The villages on the edge of Rance are worth a visit. Saint Suliac is magnificent, Dinan for its half-timbering and its emblematic rue du Jerzual great descent or ascent from or to the port.
  • Leaving for Normandy, there is Granville and why not a stopover in the Chausey Islands.

Duality: Saint Malo - Dinard


Saint Malo
  • Park in Paramé and join the closed city along the sea on the furrow and then the tour of the ramparts. in the same day for walkers in two times for others.
  • With children but also for adults the aquarium of Saint Malo is magnificent.
  • Walk in the walled city, have a coffee or other things at the "caféon the corner from the bottom of the street at the end of the city in front oftheport" and also the spice shop of Roellinger.
  • In rainy weather, there is a beautiful aquatic center in Saint Jouan des Guérets (24 minutes from the cottage by the expressway)

Dinard
  • Very pretty bourgeois town by the sea with magnificent Villas of the belle époque.
  • The moonlight walk is the favorite walk of the Dinardais.
  • From the beach of the lock towards Saint Enogat, cross the beach of Saint Enogat and go to the Thalasso, the bar of the Thalasso is very nice for a break before leaving.
  • For the charm of this seaside town in cold weather: a cup of tea with scones at the bar of the Royal Emeraude will warm you up and put you in the mood.

But also .......


  • On the mound behind the gate, you can enjoy a nice sunset over Cancale. Starting on the left you go to the village of Cherrueix,its sand yachting club and the house of the bay.
  • Starting on the right with the Mont Saint Michel in viewpoint go to the chapel Saint Anne on foot, but also by bike with multiple possibilities of walks.
  • You can also climb on the promontory of Mont-Dol from where you can enjoy a nice view of the whole bay, there is a creperie "the mill of the mount" to eat.
  • At the house of the bay,it is a mill going towards Cancale just at the exit of Cherrueix, you will find the tourist information.
  • In the town of Cherrueix the Marin train goes out into the bay to see old fisheries during the day but also at night.
